We haven’t been able to get offshore much because of the crazy storms and weather, but the inshore has been absolutely incredible. We’ve been smashing them on the calm days, windy days, and even in the rain. Watching big upper slot and bull redfish come up and nail some giant mullet is pretty awesome!!!!! We had anyone from super experienced anglers to making little kids dreams come true. No matter the skill level we have a trip for you!! Bring some friends or family and come on down and enjoy some great food and fishing right here in New Orleans Louisiana!

The offshore snapper bite is still absolutely incredible, like I said last week it’s probably the best mangrove fishing I’ve ever seen. They are big and they are mean, probably one of the hardest fighting fish you can literally catch. The key to catching them is chumming like crazy. If you think you are chumming a lot , chum some more !! The red snapper are also stacked up , I’m finding them anywhere from 60 feet of water to 200 feet.
Moving on to the Inshore , the time is now! The last couple of Inshore trips have been absolutely insane ! Look for giant rafts of mullet on the outer edges of the marsh and set up and fish directly into the schools. If you aren’t around The bait you are not going to be in the fish, there is so many ( dead zones ) so keep grinding until you find them. The water is beautiful right now is so many places , the other day we were catching reds on the left on the grass line and casting out to the right for trout. Right now is a perfect time to come on down to New Orleans with your family and book a trip of a lifetime with Me and Nola Sight Fishing. We greatly appreciate all of our customers. Until next week tight lines and calm seas, Captain Justin This weeks fishing report is all about Snapper, the Snapper bite is on fire. Just because you can only keep Red Snapper on the weekends ( Fri - Sunday ) doesn’t mean you can’t venture into the gulf and not fill the box with Giant Mangrove Snapper and many other great species. This year is one of the best years I’ve seen for the mangroves, they are thick if you know how to find them. This type of fishing is nonstop action so it would be great for families as well. The whole goal is to keep those kiddos busy so parents can relax, I’m very patient with kids and that’s one reason you should come with Nola sight fishing and plan your summer getaway now! We have you covered with top notch lodging and beautiful clean boats to get you on the water today!
The inshore is still going strong with a solid redfish bite, plenty of fish on the outer edges and clean ponds. I started this whole business on the foundation of sight fishing so don’t forget we still do this! Up to two anglers can experience an unbelievable bite like no other in our crystal clear ponds! Until next week I wish y’all the best and tight lines! Capt. Justin Collison Hopedale, Delacroix, Lake Pontchartrain Fishing Charters Welcome to this weeks fishing’s report, I have several topics to discuss with you. One being that red snapper season just opened up and they are loaded on the near shore rigs. You can expect to catch them anywhere from 40-120 feet right now. Also you can catch some giant mangroves right now before they get all spooky as well.
On to the trout and reds , look for big trout on the reefs and rigs around Breton sound. When you find them they are stacked up really good. The water is always changing so don’t be afraid to move around and find those clean patches. The redfish have been tricky , you’re either on them or not. Big tides around this moon have them constantly on the move, fish deeper edges and grass lines for the best luck. Good luck and tight lines, Captain Justin.
