The offshore snapper bite is still absolutely incredible, like I said last week it’s probably the best mangrove fishing I’ve ever seen. They are big and they are mean, probably one of the hardest fighting fish you can literally catch. The key to catching them is chumming like crazy. If you think you are chumming a lot , chum some more !! The red snapper are also stacked up , I’m finding them anywhere from 60 feet of water to 200 feet.
Moving on to the Inshore , the time is now! The last couple of Inshore trips have been absolutely insane ! Look for giant rafts of mullet on the outer edges of the marsh and set up and fish directly into the schools. If you aren’t around The bait you are not going to be in the fish, there is so many ( dead zones ) so keep grinding until you find them. The water is beautiful right now is so many places , the other day we were catching reds on the left on the grass line and casting out to the right for trout. Right now is a perfect time to come on down to New Orleans with your family and book a trip of a lifetime with Me and Nola Sight Fishing. We greatly appreciate all of our customers. Until next week tight lines and calm seas, Captain Justin
